Abstract:
Sirolimus-coated angioplasty balloons (SCBs) have recently received CE mark and US FDA device breakthrough designation for use in treating peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Pre-clinical results have demonstrated their anti-inflammatory and anti-restenotic effects.
