Abstract: Osteoarthritis (OA) results from an imbalance of anabolism and catabolism in the joint, which may be influenced by the biological and mechanical environment. Excessive forces in specific regions of the joint surfaces and alterations in tissue responses, leading to the development of osteoarthritis are also exacerbated with abnormal loading of the knee joint due to overweight or a joint disorder [1-3].
