Abstract: This article aims to find out, in the city of Manaus, the craftsmanship with regard to productive organization and income, taking into consideration the perspectives and difficulties of those who work in the handicraft. The methodology of this work encompasses field research, exploratory and bibliographical. In some locations in Manaus, 43 artisans were interviewed in the period from January to March 2015. The result of this research shows that most of the respondents are regular with the profession since they have the artisan’s portfolio. Most of them are linked to some association and even if they receive help from the government, this does not exempt them from the obstacles they face. Regarding the difficulties encountered, although most of them are not mobile, in terms of their products, there is a low level of disclosure, lack of safety and hygiene, and poor infrastructure.
