Abstract:
This article intends to present Paul Sweezy’s intellectual trajectory as a scholar, economist, political activist, and publisher through pointing out the-oretical-political-revolutionary motivations that drove him along his life. It indicates some twists and turns reflected on his theoretical-Marxist produc-tion, as well as some relevant criticisms directed to his work. It also stresses Sweezy’s dedication to set up an instrument at the service of Marxism and revolution: Monthly Review. Eventually, his choice to devote his life to the defense of Marxism and revolution is brought into focus.
