Culture as a driving factor for foreign direct investments in the Western Development Region of Romania

Abstract:
The author of the article performs a brief analysis of the mentality and cultural differences of the Western Development Region of Romania compared to the other seven development regions of Romania. In this framework, the cultural factors characterizing the Western Development Region are highlighted, culture being approached as a factor favoring foreign direct investments and considered are also the attitude and mentality of the population from the Western Development Region compared to those of the population residing in the other development regions in Romania.
