COUNTRY SIZE AND WORLD TRADE: A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract: Some attempts to quantify the theory take the form of correlations between trade and definitions of comparative advantage based oh the size of country. In this paper I review the pertinent literature and theory and give the results of only attempt to quantify the relationship between size of country by varying definitions and trade exports as a percentage of GDP and imports as a percentage of GDP.
