THE NET ECONOMIC-ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF SMALL WATERSHED PROJECTS

Ronald M. North

No 284559, 1974 Annual Meeting, August 18-21, College Station, Texas from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: An analogue method of ex post evaluation of small watershed project performance is demonstrated for watersheds with projects versus those without projects. Benefits are measured directly as production gains or losses. Ex post economic and environmental values are integrated directly from land use changes and from surrogate land value changes.
