Abstract: This paper reviews some of the conceptual and practical problems which have arisen in the application of reactive programming to spatial and temporal studies of Northwest agriculture. It suggests that while reactive programming has passed the test as an effective tool for applied research, its potential and its limitations are not yet fully understood.
