Abstract: A project entitled "Green Thumb" has been initiated in Kentucky to provide farmers real time weather and marketing data. This project represents a major departure'from past dissemination systems in that it provides for rapid, continuous transmission of data directly to farmers' homes, utilizing computers, telephones, and television to access and deliver data.
