Abstract: We know that mankind has lived with, suffered the consequences, or reaped the benefits of inflation since records have been kept. Despite the centuries of experience and hours of studs and debate we still are far from understanding how to deal with persistant inflation and, in many cases, cannot agree among ourselves as to when or where its influences are beneficial or burdensome.
