Market Implications of Soybean Oil Use As a Diesel Fuel Substitute

Abstract: Soybean oil is being considered as a diesel fuel substitute by both the United States and Brazil. Impacts of a fuel substitution program by each country on the U.S. soybean industry are evaluated. Export values and oil prices increase, but there are negative impacts on the meal sector.
