Abstract:
Statistical analysis shows that the release of U.S.D.A. crop forecasts for corn and soybeans affect future market traders' behavior. Traders have many sources of information, so we test the magnitude of 1Pto Pt i / Pt on the Chicago Board of Trade for announcement dates, t, against a random sample of other comparable dates.
