Abstract: This study assesses effects of the farmer-owned reserve program on monthly State'grain price enhancement and stabilization during 1978-84. The results show that in all selected States and for both corn and sorghum, the program has enhanced monthly State grain prices but exerted little effects on stabilizing monthly grain prices.
