Abstract:
A biophysical model is used to simulate the performance of ten continuous and rotational beef-forage grazing systems over a multiple-year period using historical weather-data. The impact of weather variability on expected animal weight gain and net returns are assessed. Risk-efficient rotational grazing strategies are identified for six risk intervals using generalized stochastic dominance.
