Abstract:
This paper estimates annual gains and losses from 1986 corn, wheat, rice and cotton programs and compares with those estimated for 1984 and 1985. Cost:Sto U.S. consumers and taxpayers outweight net gains to producers by $2.6 billion in 1986 -- Sl.1 billion smaller than the average for 1984 and 1985.
