No 270118, 1987 Annual Meeting, August 2-5, East Lansing, Michigan from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Two biophysical crop growth models are interfaced to simulate the performance of double-cropped wheat and soybeans over 20 weather scenarios. The impact of wheat harvest timeliness on net returns is assessed for seven alternative management strategies. Risk efficient strategies are identified for six risk intervals using generalized stochastic dominance.
