Successful lending for ag diversification
Karen Klonsky
American Bankers Association, 1988, vol. 01, issue 4
Abstract:
Diversification in agriculture may result in more stable cash flows, but it increases risk because adding new types of crops is essentially engaging in a new venture. In order to control this risk, agricultural lenders need to increase the documentation required of borrowers, conduct increased research, and make loans more flexible.
