Farm credit system performance 1999

Abstract:
Despite a general decline in the farm economy, the Farm Credit System posted a strong performance in 1999. FCS remains profitable and has continued to build capital. Credit quality, in general, remained favorable. The market share for the system increased to 27% in 1999, according to the US Department of Agriculture.
