Abstract: The Warmbaths district, spatially and development-wise, lies on the perimeter of the largest population concentration in the RSA (the PWV region). The district seems to contain all the basic elements to be a flourishing district economy but according to it's level of socio-economic development it is classified as part of the downward transitional region (Hannse 1989). Agriculture plays a dominant role in the district economy of Warmbaths. The different farm units represent the economic =faces in the district.
