Abstract:
In this paper efforts have been made to estimate coarse rice exchange entitlement of agricultural labour. Rice entitlement has been calculated for male and female in terms of labour wage earned by selling their labour power that they own. Sharp gender disparity is observed in rice exchange entitlement. The sharpest decline in entitlement is observed in 2008. Seasonality in rice exchange entitlement of labour power has also been examined.
