Bangladesh Journal of Agricultural Economics, 1982, vol. 05, issue 01-2, 14

Abstract: The study was conducted in Mymensingh Municipal area. All the sample Harjans work as scavengers in different organizations. They are severely underpaid in relation to their services. They are currently cohesive but professionally unorganized. They are also highly indebted to money lenders. They are generally neglected by the society at large. Some suggestions have been made to improve their economic condition.
