Abstract:
The Commonwealth Department of Agriculture has renewed its interest, effort and participation in the stimulation of active projects with non-traditional crops for export. The principal crop areas of attention are food crops, mango and papaya; beverage crops (wine grapes, passion fruit, tea, limes and guava); and spice crops with more than eight dry spices, including basil, chives and majoram. There is also interest in the culture of prawns.
