COMPARAISON DE LA PRODUCTION DE POMME DE TERRE (Solanum tuberosum) SELON L'ORIGINE DES TUBERCULES (GUADELOUPE OU FRANCE) LEUR MODE ET DUREE DE CONSERVATION

Abstract: La production de pomme de terre issues de tubercules semences conservés 6,7,8 et 9 mois en chambre froide (7°), puis mis au terrain en basse altitude dans les conditions de la Guadeloupe, a été comparée à celle des tubercules importés nouvellement récoltés et conservés à température ambiante. Les meilleures productions sont enregistrées avec les plants de tubercules conservés. Un léger effet dépressif de la conservation n'apparait qu'à partir de 9 mois Dans la perspective d'une plantation, il ressort que les tubercules sains récoltés en Février dans nos conditions peuvent être plantés la saison de culture suivante avec une sécurité de production satisfaisante. ----- Yiel of Irish Potatofrom planting sets kept 6,7,8 and 9 months in cold storage (7° C) compared with that of imported sets freshly harvested and kept at room temperature. Best yields are obtained with stored sets. Slight depressive effect of storage is noticeable only after 9 months... Regarding production it results that healthy tubers harvested in February in Guadeloupe can be stored for planting at the following season with a good prospect
