Abstract:
This study reports on the incidence and severity of bacterial spot of pepper in Barbados and the variation among the isolates of X. campestris pv. vesicatoria with respect to pathogenecity and sensitivity to copper and zinc. The genetic basis of copper resistance and avirulence is also investigated. ----- Cette étude aborde l'incidence et la sévérité de la gale bactérienne du poivron à la Barbade et la variation des isolants de X. campestrispv vesicatoria en ce qui concerne la pathogénicité et la sensibilité au cuivre et au zinc. La base génétique de la résistance au cuivre et de l'avirulence est aussi étudiée.
