Abstract:
----- A comparative trial was carried out with seven cuban breeded sweet pepper lines and two foreign variétés, a Principal Components Analysis was applied in order to determinate the characters of highest contribution and to establish a variety differentiation according to that. The length of the fruit, number of fruits per plant, main fruit weight, yield per plant, plant height and pericarp thickness were the most important components. The cuban breeded sweet pepper lines had higher yields than "California Wonder" and "California Wonder 300" commercial varieties.
