Abstract:
The aim of the article was to present the dependency between the share of agriculture and total agri-food sector in the national income and the level of gross value added per capita in European Union countries. The article compares the internal structure and share of agribusiness in the national economy in relation to gross value added. The main research method was input-output analysis. In the countries with a high level of the national income per capita the decreasing tendency in the share of agribusiness in the national economy is reversed because of the demand for highly processed foods.
