Determinación de factores motivacionales con influencia en la productividad de la mano de obra en poda de arándanos desde la teoría de Herzberg, Comuna Curacaví, Región Metropolitana, Chile

Abstract: One of the most important aspects for agricultural workers is the satisfaction they get from work and their environment. The objective of the study was to determine the motivational factors that influence the productivity of the workforce in blueberry pruning, from Herzberg's motivation-hygiene theory. The data collection was carried out in the Commune of Curacaví, Central Valley of Chile, for a sample of 36 workers. The data were processed with cluster analysis to classify the productivity and were elaborated contingency tables, using Chi-square statistic and contingency coefficient. The factors categorized as motivators were the recognition from company and factors related to the work itself; hygiene factors were labor policy and administration, and salary. Finally, although there are motivational factors with influence on labor productivity, it does not exclude other factors, for example, socioeconomic or its environment, which can affect it in the same way.
