L'Allemagne et la politique agricole commune: thème et variations
Stephan Tangermann
Économie rurale, 1982, vol. 149
Abstract:
The article presents in their political context, the farm policy conceptions of the Federal Republic of Germany. They have a predominant tendency towards protectionnism, but variations occured since the EEC formation. Contrarily to earlier fears, the entry into EEC has allowed her to strengthen the high prices inclinations. The introduction of MCA's has loosened the link between national and common prices, providing a way to support farm incomes, without having to carry the financial burden of a generalised high price policy in EEC. The Economic slowdown and budget shortages lead Germany to adopt now an attitude in favour of moderate price increases in EEC.
