Abstract: Since the Second World War, the suburban areas have been profoundly modified. This is where new housing zones with numerous service institutions have been located and have brought about an outmigration of the population from the city centers. These newcomers get on more or less smoothly with the local population : in spite of expropriations and urbanization, the farmers find the occasion here to invent new forms of production and marketing. Their production systems are very different. Agribusiness systems established on large premises are created. In the green belts of the cities, the consumers draw nearer the farmers on an economic, social and political level. It's a human experimentation which is developing.
