Abstract: The contract arrangement dealt with here is of cooperative type. It implies a strict planning and a precise contract between the cooperative and the farmers. Its problems of treasury and investment are very important ; this is illustrated by three examples from the animal production. Contract farming is a powerful factor for development and progress. However, the growth of the firms must not be curbed by certain laws (the legislation. which prohibits the accumulation of several farms) and they should be given the possibility to borrow in order to invest.
