Possibilités d'amélioration de l'élevage de viande en Limousin

Économie rurale, 1969, vol. 81-82
Abstract:
Is the highly specialised cattle breeding of Limousin competitive ? A somewhat more intensive grass production, a better management of the meat producing herd, an association of cattle breeders at the fattening-finishing stage are necessary. However, the commercial trend has to be altered : rathet than producing first class meat, the cattle breeders would do better to produce standard baby-beef for modern mass distribution and export to European countries.
