Abstract: A free competition market system demands systematical studies of the market. For foodstuff, family budgets and retail turnover help the economists to establish short term trends of consumption. Long run trends demand the cooperation of technicians, doctors, sociologists, etc... Industrial and commercial firms use the operational studies made by the Home Trade.
