Enfermée dans ses contradictions, la politique agricole ignore le rôle de l'agriculture sur l'environnement

Jean-Michel Roux

Économie rurale, 1972, vol. 94

Abstract: Entangled in its own contradictions, will agricultural policy turn toward a new part French agricultural policy suffers from contradictory trends it develops : grants to social agriculture, external Trade balance and competitiveness for most farms - and will not possibly reach in the years to come its first aim : Agriculture will not get identified with industrial economy. The latter, besides, encounters foundamental difficulties issued from the very system of Agricultural production. Economic parity, too much regarded and hoped for as most important up to now has minimized the part peasantry should play upon its surrounding, both physical and human. If parity seems to be vainly hoped for, agriculture might turn to a new policy in which « External economics » should be considered.
