Abstract:
The financing of land purchases is the kind of problem that arises with every generation. But it may become particulary acute in the years to come for, on the one hand, farms are growing larger and, on the other, the price of land is increasing. The priority financing of land may well therefore jeopardize modernization and hence the productivity progress of part of French agriculture.
