Abstract:
Fodder models for dairy production in an irrigated area in Algeria are defined following the results of experiments from 1967 to 1975. The efficiency of the water varies according to the irrigation seasons ; the solutions are adapted to the land and water available; forms of complementarity between dry and irrigated zones are defined. The consequences for the organization of animal production, the relationship between irrigation and the formation of the producers determine these choices.
