Aménagement et espace: Espace rural et cadre départemental: l'exemple des Côtes-du-Nord

Économie rurale, 1977, vol. 119
Abstract:
In the Cotes du Nord, the coast (l'armor) has always been richer than the inland regions (l'argoat). Since 1955 this traditional opposition has acquired a new meaning : small progressive areas have modified geography. A certain frame of mind has appeared amongst the farmers, whether "gallos" or breton-s peaking. The evolution and the present meaning of this two-fold division armor-argoat and gallos-breton-speaking in the Cotes du Nord are the subject of this study.
