Les agriculteurs de la CEE face à son élargissement

Corrado Barberis

Économie rurale, 1978, vol. 123

Abstract: « It is not the Agricultural Common Market but the lack of a veritable economic, monetary and political community which threatens everyone's future. The fact that zootechny is still a problem, and that the « model sector », fruit and vegetable, is going through a bad patch, presents the opportunity to reexamine the situation. Perhaps, in the minds of producers, a respite from anxiety does not compensate for the dashing of certain hopes. The reasons for or against the Mediterranean countries joining the Common Market cannot perhaps be exactly weighed up. At this stage, even if it is not a rational decision, politics triumph. »
