Adaptation et ajustement des agricultures européennes dans le contexte euro-méditerranéen

Économie rurale, 1978, vol. 123
Abstract:
The European Community surely cannot refuse to admit three countries that are now democratic — Greece, Spain and Portugal — and cannot but have a privileged relationship with the Southern and Mediterranean countries. But its farmers will suffer. Producers will certainly find increased outlets but there will be keen competition in fruit, vegetables and wine. The economic crisis makes professional reconversion, which at other times would have helped towards a solution, difficult. Should the three EEC regulations concerning fruit, vegetables and wine-growing be improved ? The reasons why the texts now in operation are unsuitable are permanent ones. The Community ought to discuss the problem democratically.
