Analyse de la variation à court terme des revenus agricoles belges, 1955-1974

Économie rurale, 1979, vol. 129

Abstract: The present study is intended to analyse the short term variation in Belgian farm income between 1955 and 1974. By short-term variation, one should understand the variation in farm income from one year to the next. We try to determine it first of all for farming's global income and then for each farm. We are particularly interested in seeing how it varies in time and how it varies with the production chosen by the farm and its surface. We establish that the short term variation in income increases in time to a considerable extent. Our analyses therefore confirm the increasing impression of uncertainty felt by farmers.
