Finalités et enjeux de la formation économique des agriculteurs
Jean-Pierre Mahé
Économie rurale, 1980, vol. 136
Abstract:
Economie education of farmers cannot be analysed only as education of economic agents. Farmers are also actors in a profession and citizens of a community. In that perspective, education must strive to strengthen the capability of the farmer to become autonomous, and allow him to become a responsible actor in his personnal and social prospects. Such objectives are bound to emphasize what is at stake in any economic education program, among these stakes the stress will be placed on those related to links between economics and politics and also on those dereived from the necessities of agricultural policy. These stakes cannot be avoided : Economic education is part of the social reality. Therefore it must not be forgotten that the finality of education is to serve the individuals concerned.
