Agriculture et prospective
Marie-Elisabeth Chassagne
Économie rurale, 1981, vol. 142
Abstract:
Agriculture is part of the international agro-industrial system, but it is also part of a national and regional socio-economic entity. This double integration serves as causal factor for agricultural and rural change. Prospective studies on the future of industrial societies should include research on the future demand for farm products and for land. Hypothesis are then formulated concerning the integration of agriculture and rural areas in post-industrial societies.
