La mise en valeur protégée des paysages ruraux wallons
Charles Christians
Économie rurale, 1981, vol. 142
Abstract:
Under the influence of urbanization and to some extent of mechanical and chemical agriculture, rural landscapes in Walloon areas of Belgium are deteriorating and losing their original features. The most beautiful and interestings spots should be safeguarded without imposing a burden on agriculture. Within the framework of land consolidation (remembrement) programmes, modern agriculture and landscape protection can be reconciled through proper inventory, appraisal and landscaping work, as shown by concrete examples.
