Taux de change et échanges agricoles
Henry Buller
Économie rurale, 1981, vol. 142
Abstract:
The effect of an exchange rate change on the trade of agricultural products is analyzed. This impact cannot be regarded as a simple variation in price. An econometric estimation of monthly EEC imports of US soybeans (1967-1976) confirms this prior assumption. The net result of an US dollar depreciation on the volume of trade is small, while its consequences on the timing of imports appear to be strongly significant.
