Abstract:
Hunting reveals conflicts and competition with regard to the use of space and nature. Municipal shooting associations, which are traditional, serve to build protection against misbehaviour by certain local people. They are in fact collective self defense devices which enhance local solidarity and reinforce the identity of the commune.
