Production et commerce des bovins et de la viande bovine
Jean-François Soufflet
Économie rurale, 1981, vol. 142
Abstract:
The 1960-1980 changes in cattle and beef marketing are mostly the result of intensification and specialization of cattle raising farms which created new trade flows requiring new types of market operators. However, great diversing remains in production and marketing forms and throughout the cattle and beef industry, there are many more divisions than the traditional one between cooperatives and private traders. This diversity should be a source of efficiency and complementarities.
