L'intervention sur le marché agricole et le commerce international
Ulrich Koester
Économie rurale, 1985, vol. 167
Abstract:
On the basis of extensive study of the literature, this paper shows the major importance of farm and food prices for poor families. Expensive foods are also important because their weight in household budgets is ..often heavy. Low income groups have high price elasticities. A rise in farm prices may have a negative impact on many rural poor who often are buyers of food. Food policies particularly food subsidies and aids targeted on certain groups are studied. (Ed.)
