Aspects macro-économiques de la pluriactivite des familles agricoles
André Brun
Économie rurale, 1986, vol. 171
Abstract:
Macroeconomic aspects of farm family «pluriactivité» - What could be the part played by the development of « pluriactivité » in agriculture, in order to limit the over supply of agricultural products. Farm family «pluriactivité» is difficult to observe because of theoretical, practical, and political reasons. With the help of available data, the author tries to support two statements : — a diffuse « pluriactivité» expands in France whilst the official figures of multiple job holding farmers decline, — the development of farm «pluriactivité» does not imply necessarily a reduction of the labor force engaged in agriculture, and the extensification attached to it. Some research perspectives are presented.
