Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to connect on a statistical basis, food, agricultural and rural economy through two simple models : a model for the agro-food economy integrated to the global economy and an economic model in population. The noticed trends lead to a continuous decline of the rural population if this one does not diversify its activities. The future of countries mainly depends on the national and regional development policy.
