L'avenir du monde rural dans le contexte européen

Économie rurale, 1991, vol. 202-203
Abstract:
Following on from the European Single Act and in the context of a new reform of the CAP, a community wide-ranging action has just been launched to promote rural development. The action reflects a new European approach to rural development ; an integrated spatial and humanist approach which contrasts starkly with the previous basically sectoral and productivist structural approach. A significant proportion of the European structural funds, which are in the process of being doubled, will go to finance this measure. The strengthening of the socio-economic cohesion of the Community is the major final objective of this action. Its application will face a number of challenges.
