Abstract: The end of the welfare state concerning cultural policy ? The Fédération nationale des Foyers ruraux seems to be an exception to the rule, beeing subsidized out of the budget of about a dozen public utility services. In fact her leaders clever joined indeed preceded the ideologies of cultural action and became so far the synthesis spot of country sphere public policies.
